Vagrant (va·grant) noun. One who wanders from place to place without a permanent home or a means of livelihood. A wanderer; a rover. Café (ca·fé) noun. A usually small and informal establishment serving various refreshments. The Vagrant Café is a monthly (???) online cafe/zine covering everything from your favorite artists latest cd to how to find a needle in a haystack. We do our best to provide our perspectives on the music we love, the God we serve and the world around us from where we stand. We don't cover any particular genre of music or cater only to "signed" bands and major record labels. In fact, we love indie bands and want to do whatever we can to give the many great indies out there the exposure they deserve. That said, we don't consider ourselves part of the "i'm so indie" scene either. We're not talented enough to be pretentious. In fact, we just love good music here at the Vagrant Café. So rest assured that if we like it, then we'll cover it. We're all pretty honest people here at the Vagrant Café and encourage our writers to be honest and as opinionated as they see fit to express themselves. Sometimes we might get a bit controversial... sometimes we might even offend someone. We don't always agree with each other and will no doubt condradict each other often, so we don't expect anyone else to agree with everything we have to say either. If you see something you don't like... take a seat, relax, have some coffee and let us know. The Vagrant Café is a pretty laid-back place and we don't pretend to be great icons of journalist excellence. We don't dot all our "i's" or cross all our "t's", we might say "ummmm" or "crap" every once in a while. Most of the time we downright suck. We might even want to just sit back with a hot cup of java and ramble for a bit... Grab a cup for yourself....
