if boys only knew the trouble we go to to impress them.
anyway. still in omaha. mixed feelings. i am really feeling at home here again. half-way tempted to move back. but i'm not going to. at least not any time soon. need to go back to south carolina and sort thru things. so confusing. (sorry about the fragment sentences.) just another week or so.

yesterday i was driving downtown for the first time since i've been back, and who's the first person i see? carole, the homeless lady who wears all black, including a big black coat, all year around. i see this lady everywhere around town...and seeing her first thing was just such a reminder that i truly am back in omaha, and that some things never change.
unrelated: a line of a song i wrote recently comes to mind. "some chances have to be taken, i'm not dead, i've just been waiting."

you know those loaves of tiny pieces of bread? you should put Chavrie goat cheese on them, and toast them for a few minutes. you'll be happy you did.
also: i'm back in omaha for a couple weeks. and i'm bored. entertain me!
